A playful nod to Minnesota’s own Bob Dylan, the name says it all: this project is all about blue and doing things on your own terms.

This retired couple had spent years in the Bearpath community in Eden Prairie, MN and weren’t ready to leave it. When they found their next home within the neighborhood, they saw past its traditional finishes and ornate details to what it could become: a lighter, brighter space that matched the way they live. Fika was brought in for a full-home refresh; reimagining finishes, fixtures, and furnishings throughout the entire home.

Blue is the throughline. From soft whispers to confident statements, it anchors every room with personality and intention. The design was carefully balanced to honor both partners: feminine softness and masculine structure finding equal footing in a home that feels curated. Bright, open, and welcoming, it’s a space designed for our client’s next chapter: relaxed days, lively gatherings, and plenty of room for kids and grandkids to make themselves at home.
